TAG Makes Top Quartile of the 2006 Crain's Private 200 List
TAG Holdings' 230% sales increase in 2005 enabled the company to climb 67 places on the 2006 Crain's Detroit Business Private 200 List. The company moved from position 117 in 2005 to position 50 in 2006, surpassing companies such as R.L. Polk and Company, ASC Inc., Jervis B. Webb Co., Belle Tire and Saturn Electronics. The increase in sales was largely due to the January 2005 launch of the new TAG company, Great Lakes Assemblies, LLC (GLA). GLA, a joint venture between TAG and Honda affiliate Midwest Express Inc., provides tire and wheel assemblies for Honda cars, trucks and motorcycles.
Crain's Detroit Business also recognized TAG as the number one company on the List of Biggest Gainers. TAG grew at more than twice the rate of the second fastest growing company on the list.
The Crain's Private 200 list ranks privately owned southeastern Michigan companies by revenue.
